You might also want to check out the competition, like the Honda CR-V; however, we think you'll find that the Subaru gives you so much more--and for a lower price. 2016 Subaru Forester vs 2016 Honda CR-V: Design
In terms of design, the Forester has a clear edge. The exterior is slightly larger than the CR-V, but it offers much more passenger space: 108.3 cubic feet, compared to the 104.1 cubic feet in the CR-V. It also features a tighter curb-to-curb turning circle of 34.8, compared to the 37.5 of the CR-V. Not only is the passenger area more spacious, the Forester is also designed to overcome obstacles more easily: unlike the CR-V, which has 6.8" of ground clearance, the Forester has an impressive 8.7"!

2016 Subaru Forester vs 2016 Honda CR-V: Performance
The Honda CR-V may look more powerful on paper, but the Forester is the better performer. The extra horsepower of the CR-V is hardly recognizable, especially when you factor in its extra weight--and if it's power you're after, the Forester has an available turbocharged Boxer engine that's far more powerful than the CR-V engine. In addition, every Forester comes with Subaru symmetrical all-wheel drive, a full-time AWD system that's perfect for Colorado. The CR-V has part-time AWD available, but it's an expensive upgrade for a vehicle that already costs more than the Forester.

2016 Subaru Forester vs 2016 Honda CR-V: Safety Features
Both the Forester and the CR-V are impressively safe vehicles. In fact, they're some of the safest on the road, having both earned the prestigious Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS. The Forester, however, is available with the amazing Subaru EyeSight driver assist technology. This technology combines adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and lane departure and sway warning functions, making your drive impressively safe.
