Jonathan Susser, Parts and Service Director at Mike Shaw Subaru wants to take a minute to show you how the different Colorado seasons affect your tire pressure.

Sometimes when the weather turns cold your tire pressure light might come on. Most 2006 and newer models have a tire pressure monitoring system and it needs a little extra tire pressure at higher altitudes to keep the light off. You can do this yourself by checking your tire pressures with a tire pressure gauge. If all 4 of them are slightly low, that's a good indication that there's not something wrong with your tires, and that you need to simply add a few extra pounds of air to your tires. We like to keep ours set at approximately 36 PSI.

Once you've set your tire pressure to approximately 36 PSI, to reset the light, all you have to do is drive around for a few miles and the light should reset itself.

As always, if you have any questions please be sure to contact Jonathan Susser at your next visit to Mike Shaw Subaru.
