2017 Subaru Impreza vs. Nissan Sentra: Design Comparison
Both the 2017 Subaru Impreza and the Nissan Sentra are sleek, modern compact cars designed to seat 5. You have the choice of a hatchback or a sedan when you pick the Impreza but the Sentra is only available as a sedan. In fact, this difference gives the new 2017 Impreza a significant advantage when it comes to cargo capacity and versatility. The Impreza also features greater front head room, front leg room, front shoulder room and rear head room in the Impreza than the Sentra.

2017 Subaru Impreza vs. Nissan Sentra: Performance Facts
2017 Subaru Impreza and the Nissan Sentra feature similarly sized engines capable of comparable horsepower and torque. A CVT automatic is available at upper trim levels of both the Impreza and the Sentra. You do have the option of choosing a slightly more powerful turbo engine at upper Sentra trim levels but the Impreza wins in fuel economy with that configuration. A big difference between these two compacts, the Impreza features all-wheel drive as standard equipment at every trim level but you can't get AWD on any 2017 Sentra.

2017 Subaru Impreza vs. Nissan Sentra: Safety Information
Standard safety features in both the 2017 Subaru Impreza and the 2017 Nissan Sentra include multiple airbags, antilock brakes, traction control and stability control. An emergency telematics system and a driver assistance technology suite are both available in either vehicle at select trim levels. As previously mentioned, you get to enjoy the added stability of AWD no matter which Impreza you choose, a feature you won't find in the Sentra. In addition, while the Sentra only earned 4 stars overall from the NHTSA, the Subaru Impreza earned 5 out of 5 stars.
