What the service covers on the 2024 Subaru Forester
The oil change service for the 2024 Subaru Forester starts with draining the used engine oil and refilling the engine with the manufacturer-specified oil. A new oil filter is installed during the same visit. The oil life monitor is reset, and underhood fluid levels are checked as part of the service. These steps support the engine’s ability to carry heat and debris away from internal components.
Engine oil can lose its additive package and heat-carrying ability long before it looks dirty. For the 2024 Subaru Forester, the matching 2023 and 2025 model schedules call for an oil change every 6,000 miles and an oil filter replacement every 6,000 miles. Signs that service may be due include an oil-change reminder, mileage beyond the last service, dark or low oil on the dipstick, or a ticking or louder engine note at startup. Drivers can schedule service with Mike Shaw Subaru.
